Facebook & Twitter

Facebook has several tools that an organization can use to further it’s mission. Fan Pages and Groups help you organize fans and individuals alike. Groups can help you communicate with people similar to a mailing list. You can also use Facebook Events to organize campaigns to get people together physically or have them take action virtually.

Twitter is a tool which although very simple can be used in very complex ways to spread your message. It can be used as a soap box to shout out ideas, events, and knowledge. It can be used as a way to network with like minded organizations and individuals. It can also be used to ask people to act on your behalf whether you are soliciting a donation, or selling a product.

This post was not intended to be comprehensive and I hope that I’ll be able to better digest social media marketing for you in the coming months and years. Please take the time to review the links above and ask me any questions.
